Section 01

Start with the pattern you have noticed

A room may feel colder at particular times, on one side of the property or compared with the spaces around it. That observation is useful, but it does not by itself establish why the difference is happening.

Make a short note of which room concerns you, when it feels different and whether you know of previous work to that part of the property. You do not need a technical diagnosis before requesting a survey.

Section 02

A wall cavity can be one part of a wider picture

Wall construction, windows, heating, ventilation, extensions and earlier work can all be relevant to comfort. Existing cavity insulation may be part of the conversation at some properties, while at others the accessible findings may not indicate that cavity work is needed.

Where access is suitable, a focused inspection can help explain what is visible at selected cavity points. It does not provide a view of every wall or prove a single cause for the room feeling cold.

Section 03

Use the survey request to describe the room in plain English

Select the cold-room concern in the request form, add the postcode and describe the part of the home that does not feel right. Any old documents or photographs are optional context, not a requirement.

Thermorite reviews the request before discussing whether a free visit can be arranged. The next conversation stays specific to the property and the accessible evidence.
