Section 01

Ask what has actually been seen at the property

Before discussing removal, ask what is visible at suitable inspection points and how those observations relate to the concern you have noticed at home. A general symptom alone is not enough to establish that extraction is the appropriate route.

It is also useful to ask what the inspection could not show. A focused accessible view has limits, and Thermorite should explain those limits clearly when discussing the next step.

Section 02

Ask whether a localised route could be more proportionate

Where an issue appears limited at the accessible points, a localised rectification discussion may be more appropriate than full removal. In some cases, the visible condition may appear satisfactory and no cavity work may be recommended from those findings.

The aim is not to select the largest possible scope. It is to understand which, if any, cavity conversation is supported by the property information.

Section 03

Ask what a proposed scope includes—and what it does not

If extraction is discussed, ask how the accessible areas, material handling, preparation and any follow-on review would be considered. A clear scope helps separate agreed work from assumptions about what might be required later.

Any future installation discussion is separate. The cavity and wider property need to be reviewed for suitability at that later stage rather than treating removal as an automatic route to installation.
