Section 01

Start with what you know—not what you think you should know

You do not need original paperwork or a technical diagnosis to request a survey. Start with the rooms or walls that concern you, the postcode and a short description of what you have noticed.

If you know that cavity work was carried out previously, an approximate date or a note about what you were told can be useful context. If you do not know, say so—the survey process is designed for that situation too.

Section 02

Useful optional information

A previous report, photographs of a relevant external wall or paperwork connected with earlier work may help Thermorite understand the property history. The survey form lets you attach a small number of supporting files if you choose.

Only share information relevant to the property concern. Do not include financial, medical or other sensitive personal information in a document or free-text description.

Section 03

What happens after you send the request

Thermorite reviews the property postcode and the details provided, then contacts you to discuss eligibility, access and any appropriate next step. Sending a request does not confirm a visit, price or work scope.

This approach makes it easier to have a useful first conversation, whether you have a detailed history or only know that part of the home does not feel right.

A wall can look simple from the outside and still need careful context.

Construction, past work, access and visible conditions all matter when discussing what may be relevant.
